Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center
Address: Zhanjing Road, Fuhai Street, Bao'an District, Shenzhen, China
Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center(Shenzhen World for short) is a major project invested by the Shenzhen Municipal Government and jointly constructed by China Merchants Shekou and Overseas Chinese Town for operation. It marks a mega exhibition and convention complex integrating exhibitions, conferences, events (games and performances, etc), catering and commerce.
Location of Shenzhen World
Shenzhen World is located at Zhancheng Road No.1, Fuhai Street, Bao’an District, Shenzhen, commanding the top of the Greater Bay Area, the center of the Pearl River Delta FTZ, where the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-HongKong core development corridor and East-West development corridor converge and where the Guangzhou-Foshan-Zhaoqing,Shenzhen-Dongguan-Huizhou,Zhuhai-Zhongshan-Jiangmen city clusters meet. The venue boasts an outstanding geographic location with sound resource agglomeration and tremendous development potential.
In spite of Sino-US trade frictions, sluggish world economic growth, complicated and volatile geopolitical situations and other negative factors, the overall economy of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area grew steadily in 2019, with its economic aggregate exceeding CNY 1.1 trillion. Investing, consumption, foreign trade, real estate and finance saw a steady increase as well.
Layout of the Venue
Phase I of Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center covers a ground area of 1.2142 million square meters and has a built-up area of 1.6 million square meters, of which the indoor exhibition area takes up 400,000 square meters. Upon completion of its two-phase construction project, the indoor exhibition space will reach 500,000 square meters. The venue is a mega MICE complex integrating exhibitions, conferences, entertainment events, catering and commerce.
Shenzhen World is designed with an organizing spine to connect 19 halls arranged symmetrically along a 1.75-kilometer-long central corridor. Therefore, visitors get access to all exhibition halls and lobbies via the two-level corridor conveniently. Five main entrances assigned evenly from south to north, two of which (South Lobby east end and North Lobby east end) are directly connected to metro stations. Such a venue layout features an efficient design that facilitates easy mobilization of visitor and truck traffic.
